THE ORDINARY PAINT ROLLER
1. The single rail(handle) forces the user to hold it with the forearms in a tightened position. The muscles are shortened and remain tight during use.
2. Because of the single rail, the upper hand is actually spending most of its energy holding the roller against the surface being painted. The back hand is the powering the movement of the roller. In effect, two sides of the body are in conflict. One side is trying to hold the roller steady. The other side is trying to move it.
3. The painter's body is constantly changing position to accommodate changing angles. Some positions, such as painting ceilings, are particularly trying to stay in or be efficient with.
THE NICGRIP PAINT ROLLER
1.Having two rails allows a horizontal handle for the forward hand. The grip on the horizontal handle is a naturally relaxed position for the hand and arm. The back hand is grasping a rotating tail, also a naturally relaxed position. This alleviates much of the arm fatigue and discomfort of ordinary paint rollers.
2.Because of the two rails, the horizontal handle, and the rotating tail, the roller rests comfortably against the wall without having to use much pressure to hold it there. Both hands are primarily used to propel the roller. This makes the overall act of rolling much more comfortable.
3.Because of the rotating tail, the paint roller actually changes necessary angles, rather than forcing the user to change angles. Even tricky areas like ceilings are much easier to paint.
The NicGrip handle allows a person rolling paint to have the handle make angle changes for areas like ceilings and oddly positioned sections of wall. It also demonstrates why rolling paint is so uncomfortable with a conventional paint roller.
